Historical Ohio Veteran Decoration Day March & Family Fun Day
Honoring Hardin County's prominent role in American history through our strong Veteran heritage within the local, regional, statewide and national veteran community.
Please join the City of Kenton, Rescue Grove Chapel Committee, Hardin County Armory, and the Lions Club for a special and historical addition to our annual Memorial Day Parade on 5/26/25. We will be honoring our history as the home of the nation’s first Medal of Honor winners, high-ranking Officers and all fallen Ohio soldiers that served from Civil War era to present- that have been buried or held in repose (reposed during Spanish American War and WWI) at Grove Cemetery or final services held in Grove Chapel from 1895 to present day. We also will be honoring our current active-duty servicemen and servicewomen in our community by inviting all Veterans to lead the parade from the Hardin County Armory to Grove Cemetery.
Line up begins at 9am at the Hardin County Armory at 128 N Main Street Kenton, OH- The parade March (motorcade provided for those Veterans unable to march) begins at 10am, and will lead the Kenton Memorial Day Parade from the Hardin County Armory to Grove Cemetery Chapel and ceremony at the Grove Cemetery Veteran's Circle.
Please join the Rescue Grove Chapel committee and its special guests after the parade for a family fun event at Veteran's Memorial Park at 15906 St. Rt. 309 Kenton, Ohio 43326.
